HEARTHSTONE CASTLE DANBURY CONNECTICUT
Hearthstone Castle was a three-story, sixteen room stone castle with other buildings built between 1895 and 1899. It is located in a wooded setting at the crest of a hill, which was steep to me walking up it, to the east of Brushy Hill Road in Danbury, Connecticut. The castle, which is essentially early Norman in form but incorporates elements of many periods of castle architecture as well as features commonly associated with styles of the late nineteenth century. Other buildings there, all Shingles style, include a caretaker’s cottage, carriage house, pump-house, barn, woodshed, and water tower, clustered on higher ground to the south of the main building.
My friends and I visited this old run down Castle in Danbury Connecticut we decided to bring along some equipment to see if we received any Evps. While we received one EVP it was more of the beauty of just seeing this building from way back. Other people I believe never read the No Trespass sign and entered through the fenced in area to explore the run down Castle.
